Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet) sits close to your bed so you can be able to provide care to your baby during night feeds and nappy changes without getting out of bed. These cribs are ideal for fostering independence in your child as they get more comfortable in their own space to sleep.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to sleep with their infant while making sure that they're asleep safely. Its smooth glide will help soothe your baby to sleep and its unique features allow you to monitor your child without leaving bed.

The cot's sliding side panel can be raised and lowered with the press of the button, making it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying infant at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it fit on the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it includes adjustable folding feet to ensure that it sits at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and has mesh sides to provide more ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density foam for extra protection. It can also be cleaned, so you can keep the crib clean. It is fitted with a bed sheet that is suitable for a crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for bed, is compatible with a wide range of beds, including divans. This is because of the clips and straps which connect it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib even when it's not attached to the bed. It is packed with amazing features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is great for newborns, it won't last long once your baby turns six months old, and you'll need to invest in an additional cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent buy. She loved its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for a cot. She liked the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought its grey color would fit the majority of modern homes. However, she pointed that it's not an ideal idea to rock a young baby, as it can create a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It features a drop side rail which can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to wake your child or get up it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or when traveling.

It's made of soft material and features mesh sides that breathe to increase airflow. It is available in charcoal or oak with a range of melange fabrics that will blend with a variety of styles. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed.  bedside cot co sleeper  clicked into place and the zippers were secure to ensure security. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number if you experience any issues.

The CoZee crib has all the features you'd think of in a crib for your bedside, including the ability to attach it to your bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally, there is an incline feature that can be used to aid babies suffering from reflux or congestion. It's also machine-washable, which is a must for all the dribbles and vomit that come with having a baby!

If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great option because it can be used as a stand-alone crib, changing table and toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options. It does have many amazing features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a brand new mechanism. It's also more flexible than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access to the side panel, which can be moved up and down with just one push of one button. This was a huge benefit in feedings at night as it meant that they could easily reach in and pick up their baby without waking them.

It is possible to lower the side panel it's own, however this is not recommended, as it increases the risk that your child could get out of the cot. The safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only stay down if it is properly attached to the parent's mattress. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace of mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases and beds with drawers. It also comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux and a rocking feature to soothe them back to sleep after eating. It's also extremely large and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still quite mobile and can be moved from room to room with ease. It can also be folded into a bag for travel, which is a great option when you need to transport it. The only issue our testers noticed was that the side panel didn't move as much as some of the other models, making it slightly harder to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option when you're looking for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that is securely attached to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing the bond you have with your new born.

In contrast to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides and the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby or comfort them at night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to begin. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was relatively simple. The only drawback was the lack of captions written on a few images which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. Overall, it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of the materials used was excellent.

In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby for feeding and comfort without having to climb out of their bed. It's a great option for parents who do not want to go through the stress of putting their child in a traditional cot, or getting them out of it.

During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely useful in getting babies to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side is also easily accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night this was a huge selling point for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock or have additional features like a sound system the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
